CHCI Annual Meeting 2024 in Berkeley

From May 28-June 1, 2024, the Townsend Center for the Humanities at UC Berkeley hosted the CHCI Annual Meeting 2024 under the title ‘…at Risk’. 

The CHCI (Consortium of Humanities Centers and Institutes) annual meeting in Berkeley—… at Risk—aimed to examine the multiple challenges encountered by scholars operating within increasingly hostile environments at home and abroad.

On 29 May, Prof. Nando Sigona gave a talk about the irregularisation of migration and migrants in Europe in the Panel Borders, Citizenship, Statelessness. Prof. Sigona chaired the panel, under the moderation of Kader Konuk (Academy in Exile) with Fonna Forman (UC San Diego) and Asli Igsiz (New York University).
